Parochial Church Council (PCC)
The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is responsible for governance of the church. Members of the congregation are elected to serve on the PCC for three years, and may serve two consecutive terms (of three years each) without a break. In addition, St John’s may also elect up to four members to serve on the Tandridge Deanery Synod.

Helen Ainsworth, General Synod Representative
Helen has worked for the Bank of England for over 25 years and has been a member of General Synod since 2021. She will become trustee of Church House (the Church of England's Head Office) in late 2023.
Sara Bartolozzi - Solicitor (not in practice)
Sara was, for many years, a real estate lawyer in various City of London firms and has been a magistrate since December 2017.
Cathy Booth - Retired HSEQ professional, Churchwarden
Cathy has extensive senior management experience leading the safety, quality and corporate governance functions within the UK and internationally.

Janet Harman, PCC Secretary
Janet joined St John's as a choir member in 1973, became PCC Secretary in 1999 and Parish Administrator in 2014. She has also been a senior administrative assistant in a magistrates' court and clerk to governors at a local church school.

Charlotte Nicholls - School leader
Charlotte is Vice Principal of Oxted School, and is also on the governing body of a local infant school. She is the Safeguarding Officer for St John's Church.
Liz Parker, Deanery Synod Representative
Liz has lived in the area for 57 years. She regularly worships at St John's and is one of the church's representatives on the Tandridge Deanery Synod.
Barbara Richards - Retired Senior Civil Servant
Barbara's work involved dealing with Parliamentary business as well as international trade negotiations.
Mary Seller, Assistant Priest
Mary Seller has been a parishioner since 1975, and was ordained in 1991, and has served in a non-stipendiary capacity since then. Formerly, she was on the academic staff of King's College London, and was involved in research and teaching of Medical Genetics.
Samuel Strolz - Senior Manager
Sam has a background in teaching and lecturing and currently leads on programme delivery for a large UK charity.
Julian Taylor - Accountant, Treasurer
Julian has been Treasurer since 2019. He is a qualified accountant with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and also has many years' experience in implementing and maintaining financial reporting systems.
