Hurst Green News is a community and church newsletter published by St. John’s  on the first Saturday of each month, bringing local and church news to the residents of Hurst Green.  It is delivered free to over 2,700 homes.

Until December 1980 Hurst Green News was a conventional A.5 Parish magazine printed and sold to those who wanted a copy. In  January 1981 the newsletter was produced in-house and became a free newsletter delivered to every household.  Over the years it has evolved to today’s free newsletter;  its production depends on a large team of volunteers who prepare and deliver it.

A band of people meet on the first Saturday of each month to fold the A3 sheets from the printer to A5 size and prepare them for delivery. Hurst Green news is now available on line at this website and in future we will no doubt be looking at all the new developing ways for electronic communication.

Hurst Green News aims to bring regular news of activities in Hurst Green both from the Churches and all the community groups who help to make Hurst Green such a special place to live. The back page carries advertisements for locally based services, which generally cover production costs.
