Aggie's-on-the-Green Coffee Shop

The Community Coffee Shop, or Aggie's-on-the-Green as it is affectionately known, held in St Agatha's Hall, is open on Wednesdays in term time from 10.30am to 2pm with light lunches from 12 noon.  A two course lunch may only cost £5!  All food is home-cooked by volunteers and an average per month 80 lunches can be served, plus numerous cups of coffee!

Aggie's is a warm and friendly place to meet friends - adjacent to Hurst Green station and on the 410 bus route from Oxted - with children always welcome in a safe play area with toys.  It was originally set up in 1997 on a non-profitmaking basis as a drop-in coffee shop for the local community.  It continues today run entirely by volunteers as a community project.

Each September at the Hurst Green Village Fair teas are provided - a complete sell-out!  This year teas were also provided for the Party on the Green, held to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday.  The Christmas buffet lunch in early December is also popular and much enjoyed by an average of 35 people, children and adults alike.
